Experience the Great War with Valiant Hearts iOS
Ubisoft has announced the release of Valiant Hearts: The Great War on iOS this September. The puzzle-adventure game that was released on PC and consoles in June follows the lives of four characters throughout World War I, and is perhaps best known for a heart-wrenching trailer that aired at Ubisoft’s E3 conference this year.
Whilst the story and characters are a big part of the game’s appeal, Valiant Hearts should sit comfortably on iOS in gameplay terms, too. It relies on point-and-click style puzzles and simple platforming, and with a tweaked control system iOS could end up being the best platform for the title.
Valiant Hearts’ distinctive art style is down to Ubisoft’s own UbiArt Framework engine, which has been behind a handful of gorgeous PC and console games including Rayman Origins and Child of Light. This will be the first UbiArt game developed in-house by Ubisoft to see a release on iOS, opening up the possibility that Child of Light and future UbiArt games will also make it to the platform - fingers-crossed!
Valiant Hearts will be released on iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch on September 4.
